Barques Design moves centre stage

A leading Midlands marketing agency has relocated to central Birmingham following a period of sustained business growth.

Barques Design, formed in Sutton Coldfield in 1985, provides design and marketing services to a broad range of private and public sector clients. The10 strong team, led by Jilly Cosgrove, is now based at 33 Ludgate Hill, in the fashionable St Paul’s district.

“A good proportion of our work is based in and around the city centre,” said Jilly “and with so much client interaction involved on a daily basis, it was always likely that we should eventually move into the heart of the action.

“Notwithstanding all the advances in technology, in our line of work I believe there is no substitute for the personal touch and delivering a rapid response. This is made all the easier by working in close proximity.

Jilly added: “We have enjoyed much success in recent years, particularly with the growth of the city’s property and financial services sector. Our new location provides an ideal base from which to develop even closer relationships and continue building for the future.

“Over the next year or two we intend to drive the business to a new level, using our existing track-record as a firm foundation and adding in some new elements, including a greater PR facility.

“These are exciting times for us and we are thoroughly enjoying our new home in Ludgate Hill. It’s a wonderful business environment here and despite its central location it is a very serene neighbourhood and actually quieter than our previous suburban base!”

To coincide with its relocation, Barques Design has adopted a brand new corporate identity and refreshed its promotional literature. After two decades as a growing force in the business, the company now seeks to consolidate its position among the region’s ‘big hitters’.
