Jilly walks the 'Moonwalk' for Breast Cancer

Having taken part in the London Playtex Marathon Moonwalk last year, raising £2,500 for Breast Cancer, Jilly is off to Edinburgh to do it all again this year. Walk the Walk came into being 10 years ago when just 13 women power walked The New York Marathon in their bras to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. What started out as a once only fundraising event has blossomed into a thriving charity raising to date in excess of £20 million for breast cancer research and cancer care. The MoonWalk is no ordinary marathon, it starts at midnight and all participants wear brightly decorated bras to create what has been described as, “the mardi-gras of marathons”! 10,000 participants are set to join Lorraine Kelly and Michelle McManus at The Meadows, Edinburgh on June 16th 2007.
